International Workers Forum Insights.

We were thrilled to attend a forum organised by the Fijian Community Association Victoria and Migrant Workers Centre, and we're happy to report that it was an incredibly informative and valuable event. The forum aimed to deepen attendees' understanding of international workers' rights and responsibilities in Australia and covered a wide range of essential topics related to this issue.

Mr. Jotame Ratabua, a prominent figure in the Victoria Fijian Community and a certified Bicultural Work Rights Ambassador with the Migrant Workers Centre Inc, has availed himself for our employees. Mr. Ratabua, in addition to his role as Chair of Community Spiritual and Welfare, has undertaken training with the Migrant Workers Centre to provide accurate and legal information to PALM workers, who frequently seek advice on work rights and safety-related issues.

He is also a Certified Work Rights Ambassador among the Fijian Community and is fluent in both English and Fijian. Mr. Ratabua brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his presentations, which are informative and accessible to all attendees.

As a valued member of our corporate community, we highly encourage all employees to attend similar events in the future. The presentations prepared by the hosting entities were insightful and informative, covering topics such as workplace rights protected by the law, common occupational safety issues, and the importance of financial planning and literacies.

But the event wasn't just about presentations and lectures. Attendees had the opportunity to share their ideas and engage in discussions around wellness and welfare. It was a fantastic chance to network with like-minded individuals and build connections that could lead to future opportunities.

We would like to express our gratitude to the Fijian Community Association Victoria and Migrant Workers Centre for organising this event, and to Whales' management for supporting it. We strongly believe that events like this are crucial for building a knowledgeable and engaged workforce, and we urge all employees to take advantage of similar opportunities in the future.

In conclusion, we can't stress enough how important it is to attend events like this forum. Not only do they offer a unique opportunity to learn and engage with others on important issues, but they can also provide a platform for personal and professional development. So, keep an eye out for future events, and we hope to see you there!
